The Galapagos
In 2006 I traveled to the Equador and the Galapagos with a photography workshop run by Stephen Johnson (http://www.sjphoto.com). I had attended lectures by Stephen, but the chance to learn about landscape photography with this master was to be a wonderful experience. In the Galapagos, we traveled from island to island by catamaran, living on the boat and daily excursions to the islands. The animals there have no predators, so approaching them to photograph was not too difficult. The views and vistas were unlike anything I had ever seen before! Working with hi-res cameras, the photographs I printed from them are large scale, 44" x 60" or smaller.
