Oil Painting
With all of my interests in different paint mediums and techniques, oil painting is the one I feel the most comfortable with. Even though it is my primary medium, I still enjoy exploring different ways of working with the paint. My typical method of starting an oil painting is to work in gray tones to build up the form and space. Upon that I lay in transparent glaze layers and finish with more opaque lights/highlights. It’s a slow process, but one that can yield a lot of depth in the painted space and luminosity.
